MessageFlow Wins ISO 27001 and ISO 27018 Certification

As part of the Vercom Group, MessageFlow has successfully completed the audit for ISO 27001 and ISO 27018 security standards. Earning the certificates highlights our commitment to reach global standards in safeguarding the data we’re entrusted with. 

The auditors scrutinized various processes involved in electronic communication conducted via Email, SMS, and Mobile Push notifications, used within the framework of a CPaaS platform.

The key objective of these audits is to verify whether the company operates in accordance with the standards. After three years, you’re required to apply for certification again.

Information access security

At MessageFlow, we design our security policies and procedures to meet the rigorous requirements of ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27018 standards. At MessageFlow, as per corporate policy, all the specialists have access only to the data they need to perform their duties. Moreover, all employees are required to undergo training with regards to information security. 

Responding to unforeseen situations

We prepare in advance for any crisis that may come our way. As far as risks go, we proceed according to the established business continuity plan (BCP), which includes creating backups and data recovery procedures. A key part of the BCP is being regularly subjected to tests including data restoration and backup management plans in line with the ISO 27018 requirements.

We keep regularly updated action plans and procedures aimed to assess potential risks related to information and data safety. The Data Protection Management System at Vercom and MessageFlow focuses on key areas of personal data processing. These areas are systematically updated, subjected to tests, supervised and monitored.

Team training in cybersecurity at Vercom and MessageFlow

Each year, within the Vercom group, we put together training sessions on GDPR and ISO standards for our team. Additionally, in-house cybersecurity experts run regular workshops discussing any emerging threats, latest dangers, and best practices for keeping data safe. Every week, we remind everyone on board of the importance of responsible information processing through an educational series that covers essential elements of cyber threat awareness and protection,
